Leadership

Colton Himmelman, President

Barry1_BW_166Colton is the fourth-generation leader of Himmelman Construction. He acts as Project Executive on the majority of projects and leads the Preconstruction Services Department. He takes a hands-on approach to his position and enjoys problem-solving and working towards a common goal with his team members. From an early age, he liked construction and started to learn the business inside and out. He can remember his father bringing him to job sites when he was very young. He considers himself, “one of the lucky ones,” to have gotten to know his great-grandfather (who founded Himmelman Construction) pretty well. After years of admiring how his parents ran the business together, Colton developed a passion for making sure that the fifth generation has the same opportunities that Travis, Jessica and him have had. He can’t imagine himself doing anything else and considers it a bonus to work with family and to work towards continuing the family Legacy.

Hobbies: Colton loves going out into the woods with his bow to hunt elk and mule deer and finding a stream to fly fish on. He enjoys carving out time to spend in the mountains with his wife, Breanna, and their son, Waylon.

Travis Himmelman, Vice President

TravisTravis_BW_3 is one of the fourth-generation leaders of Himmelman Construction. He was raised into the business and started doing labor work in high school, and then became a framer and drywaller while earning his bachelor’s degree at Boise State University. He started working for the family business in 2013 and has learned various parts of the business while performing several roles over the years. He has worked his way up in the business and is now the Vice President of Himmelman Construction and is responsible for project management and being the company’s lead Safety Officer.

Hobbies: Travis’s hobbies include hunting elk and deer in the fall and fishing and spending time with his wife, Morgan and their three children.

Jessica O’Shea, Chief Financial Officer / Controller

Jessica is a fourth-generation Himmelman. She is an integral part of the business as the Controller and CFO. She manages the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, prepares all financial reports, and oversees the company’s fiscal activity. She grew up watching her parents grow Himmelman Construction and it became a goal of hers to continue on the legacy. She graduated from Colorado State University Fort Collins, with a Bachelor’s in accounting. When starting with Himmelman Construction she was a project engineer before she started shadowing and learning the financial side. This was imperative to learning the business in its entirety and why she is so knowledgeable in our industry. She chooses to work for the business because of the strong core values, the quality of relationships, and the rewarding projects that they get to work on.

Hobbies: Jessica’s favorite way to spend her time is with her family, camping in the mountains and judging gymnastics across the state of Colorado.

Eric Kriebel, Vice President of Operations

Eric has been a pillar of the Himmelman Construction team for over 13 years. After serving in the US Army he started working in construction and now has almost 30 years of experience in the trades and General Contracting. He is heavily involved in the preconstruction phase of all projects as well as the construction phase. On-site daily, he oversees and supervises all projects to ensure that each is completed within budget and on schedule. With a keen understanding of scheduling and project goals, Eric ensures that all operations adhere to Himmelman’s quality standards and requirements.

Hobbies: Eric enjoys being a part of the Colorado Youth Rugby community with his son, Seamus, spinning vinyl records and spending time in the mountains.
